What are the Benefits?
This project potentially brings many benefits, both to the global climate, and also to the local communities where schemes are implemented.
- Immediate impact on climate
- Improved agriculture, forestry and biodiversity
- Increased rainfall and improved water supply
- Reduced flooding, desertification and soil erosion
How much cooling impact can this have?
The project is not concerned with Carbon dioxide and the greenhouse effect, and it does not allow us to stop our efforts to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. However, it does buy us more time which potentially delaying the effects of global warming by 10-20 years.
